Director General's Office
Headed by the Director General of the Hospital who is in charge of coordinating all the activities within the hospital, leading the management committee of the hospital and representing the hospital, the Director General’s Office comprises of the following departments
- General Secretariat, headed by the Administrative Assistant;
- Procurement Department, headed by the Procurement officer;
- Planning, monitoring and Evaluation Department headed by the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer;
- Public Relations and Communications Department headed by the Public Relations and Communications Officer;
- Quality Improvement Department, headed by the Quality Improvement Officer;
- Data management and Statistics Department, headed by the Data Manager and Statistician;
- Internal Auditor.
Principal Accountabilities
- Developing strategic plans and policies of Ruhango PH which must be approved by Health Committee, coordinating and overseeing their implementation;
- Promoting and protecting RUHANGO PH interests while its corporate brand,
- Overseeing design, marketing, promotion, delivery and quality of programs, products and services;
- Preparing a draft of yearly budget for Health Commitee’s approval before its submission to competent organs,
- Approving and overseeing efficient and effective management and utilization of finances, infrastructure and human resources of RUHANGO PH
- Preparing and overseeing mobilization strategies of resources, planning and implementation of its strategies, including identifying resource requirements, researching funding sources, establishing strategies to attract partners and managing all documentation relating to resources mobilization.
- Effectively managing the staff of Ruhango PH according to human resources management policies approved with accordance to existing laws and regulations;
- Implementing policy and programmes of Ruhango PH;
- Serving as link between Ruhango PH Health Commitee, supervising Ministry and national or international institution with the same objectives;
- Informing in writing, to Health Committee the progress and the activities of Ruhango PH at least once a term
- To represent Ruhango PH directorate before the law;
- Lead Ruhango PH management committee;
- Supervision of all accreditation committees.
- The Director General of Ruhango Provincial Hospital reports to the Health Commitee and to the Mayor or District Executive Administrator of Ruhango district.
