The Unit is headed by the Director General of the Hospital, who is in charge of coordinating all the activities within the hospital, lead the management committee and represent the hospital. The Director General’s Office comprises of the following 7 departments:

Dr TUYISHIME Emile
Director General
Dr Emile Tuyishime is a Medical Doctor by profession for over 12 years with experience in public health domain, leadership, and governance. Currently, he is Director General of Ruhango Provincial Hospital. From 2018 to 2022, he has been Director General of Gakoma, Nyanza and Muhororo respectively. He is an experienced researcher in infectious diseases especially HIV and had worked with Rwanda Zambia HIV Research Group (RZHRG) to conduct a study on “HIV testing and treatment cascade among female sex workers in Kigali, Rwanda.
