MATERNITY DEPARTMENT

Our Maternity or gynecology and obstetrics department provides a range of health care service ranging from hospitalization services, Gynecology related services, obstetrics services, ultrasonography, ante natal care, obstetrics theatre and post natal care. The department is one of our clinical departments that provides health care services to women. The department deals with diseases affecting the female genitalia, these being can be medical or surgical and is concerned with pregnant women and their future child. It is responsible of dealing with a wide range of issues, including obstetrics, or pregnancy and childbirth, menstruation and fertility issues, sexually transmitted infections, hormone disorders, and others. It is therefore responsible of dealing with medicine and surgery for women, as well as ultrasound for the prenatal diagnosis of certain fetal ailments. Our midwives within the department are specialists in normal pregnancy, while our obstetrician gynecologists specialize in managing pathological pregnancies.
