Our Anesthesia Department is responsible of offering Pre-anesthesia care services, intra-operative care, post anesthetic care and pain management

Anesthesia is one of our paramedical departments that deals with ensuring the safety of patients undergoing surgery.  The department is responsible of providing care for patients in a bid to prevent the pain and distress that can be experienced during the surgery.

Services within our anesthesia department include

• General anesthesia (“putting the patient to sleep”)
• Sedation (intravenous medications to make the patient calm and/or unaware)
• Regional Anesthesia (njections of local anesthetic near nerves to “numb up” the part of the body being operated on (i.e. nerve blocks or spinal/epidural injections)).

We make sure that our anesthesia personnel are all able to analyze which type of medication is best for the patient based upon their age and medical history while specific actions involve particular anesthetics or variations of an anesthetic type

The department is entitled to being attentive to every detail of a patient’s medical history since this can indicate some key caution symptoms that a patient may be allergic to some kind of medications. We ensure that our anesthetists are capable of identifying initial symptoms of contrary reactions to medication before, throughout, and after a major curative procedure.

Our anesthesia department is also in charge of tracing whichever fluctuations in vital signs and the patient’s state throughout anesthesia.

The anesthesia department also deals with the convenient that may arise if something goes wrong during the anesthesia since it doesn’t happen often that the anesthesia creates unpredicted responses in the patient throughout the process, thus demanding the involvement of the anesthesiologist.

Our anesthesia department works closely with doctors and patients in a bid to communicate effectively about any risk that may be triggered by a certain kind of medication and make sure the patient, and probably their families, fully recognize it.
